Has the growler issue been fixed for AA County?

Dave, yes. I was told by a Deputy Administrator from the AA County Liquor Board that the growler issue has been fixed. You can read about it here: http://bit.ly/1iEVrqS
The only caveat is that I’ve talked to a few growler stores and many say they have not yet received official word from the AA County Liquor Board.

Read the past articles regarding Growlers in AA county, but can you clarify that it applies to all of Maryland, still butting heads with the Wine Bin in HoCo, mean while I go to the city and they refill anyones http://www.winebinec.com/beerandales.php

Jason, thanks for the question. Unfortunately the growler policy change is only in AA County and I believe Baltimore City. The rest of the state still has the ban on taking growlers from one store to another. I will write a new post if this ever changes.

Hi, I am the office manager of a small farm in Wappingers Falls, NY, that mainly grows diversified vegtables for our organic summer CSA. We also grow hops to sell to our members and local brewers.
We recently received a request from one of our local restaurants to purchase hops shoots from us and we have not idea what so ever how to price them. I was wondering if you had any experience with buying/selling hops shoots and how to price them or knew of anyone that you could refer me too.

Hi Donna, I’ve never bought our sold hop shoots in bulk, I’ve only eaten my own. However, it’s true that the first harvests of shoots can go for more than $1,000 per kilogram (2.2 lbs) in Belgium, but the average prices are somewhere around $40 per pound. The demand is obviously higher in Belgium than in the US, but that average may be a good place to start. Please let me know if/when you settle on a price. I would love to know how this works out.
