Big growth in craft beer over the past few years could mean that proposed beer tax changes will get better traction in Congress in 2014. However, as the Motley Fool points out, the two proposed bills will create different winners and losers across the beer industry, with both bills offering significant advantages to craft brewers. One bill goes as far as completely eliminating federal taxes for the smallest of brewers (less than 15k barrels), but could give “crafty” beers owned by big brewers (Blue Moon, Shock Top, etc.) huge advantages.
