Once gain, I’m drinking a seven year old beer that I left in Texas back in 2007. Today we’re drinking Rahr & Sons Buffalo Butt. This is normally a sweet(ish) malty beer with hints of caramel malt. Hopefully it doesn’t taste like its namesake after seven years in storage.
This thing got sour but still has some of the malty sweetness. The hop bitterness has almost completely been lost. It’s like a really, really bad Flemish Oud Bruin. Licking the ass crack of a buffalo may have been more enjoyable than this beer.
